Upcoming My Little Pony Movie Is Not A Sequel To the 2017 Movie

New York Toy Fair is underway and with it came the announcement of a new 3D/CGI My Little Pony movie to be released in 2021.

During a brand feedback session at Toy Fair today Hasbro revealed that this movie will be a standalone movie and not a sequel to the 2017 My Little Pony movie as initially speculated.

Whether this means that the movie is not a direct sequel to the previous movie or fully standalone from Friendship is Magic is as of yet unknown. Hopefully we will get more information on this soon.
